Kaitlyn Day is a native of Queens, NY. She is currently working as the Wardrobe Supervisor for the School of Rock First National Tour, after working as the assistant on the tour for the first year. Her love of touring the country with musicals began when she worked on An American in Paris tech in Schenectady, NY as an over-hire stitcher. Since then she has worked as the assistant on Big League's production of 42nd St as well as a shopper for various shows. She has been the Costume Designer's Assistant on Broadway's The Glass Menagerie, School of Rock the Musical (designed by Anna Louizos) and An American in Paris (Deigned by Bob Crowley), as well as the First National Tour of An American in Paris. Past Designs include The Door Was Open, Gemini Collisionwork’s CANT and, Its Getting Tired Mildred (associate designer). She recently won the NYIT award for Outstanding Costume Design for The Golfer (Also at the Brick). She received her Masters Degree in Costume Design from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
